How to Celebrate the Hindu New Year.
- Every should keep the house and surroundings Neat & clean. It is better to arrange the beautiful lighting at night.
- On this morning, decorate the every room with sandpaper or muruz and decorate the house with Kalasa, Purnakumbh, Ambatoran, banana tree etc. In the evening, you can light lamps or electric lights.
- Taking a bath in the morning and wearing new or clean clothes.
- Do Homa or Yajna & fasting.
- Take care of your Elderly father and mother.
- Do Gopujan, poor service, social service etc.
- One should give charity according to one’s ability. On that day, persons or institutions are encouraged to perform good deeds like feeding the poor, feeding the children, donating water, and donating blood.
- New Year welcoming and charitable activities should be organized in public places for the welfare of the world.
- We can send greetings/good wishes to each other on this day in person or through traditional greeting cards or mobiles.
