According to Hindu religion, the word Om refers to the first sound that existed prior to all other sounds. It is the frequency that existed at the beginning of the universe. All subsequent vibrations are able to materialise as a result of this first vibration.
- Hinduism regards it as a sacred sound, syllable, mantra, and invocation.
- Om is one of Hinduism’s most important signs and symbols.
- It is found at the beginning and the end of chapters, chanting, mantras or slokas in the Vedas, the Upanishads, Sanskrit recitations, prayers, and texts & other Hindu texts.
