Meaning of Karpur Gauram Karunavtaaram
The term Shiva means lucky. Lord Shiva destroys sin and horror and brings pleasure and auspiciousness to earth. Shiva denotes good-doer like Sankara. Shiva brings one beyond the Jeeva’s three bodies (Tripura)—gross, subtle, and causal. Thus, he is the Hara, the destroyer of evil and renunciation idol.
