Continent

It is is a large continuous mass of land conventionally regarded as a collective region. There are 7 (Seven) Continents in the world. Sometimes Europe and Asia are considered one continent called Eurasia.

Peninsula

India is located on the Asian continent. The majority of India is a peninsula, which means it is bordered on three sides by sea.

Subcontinent

It is a portion of a bigger continent, which is made up of several countries that make up a large land mass. The term “subcontinent” refers to the region that includes India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Ocean & Sea

  • The 5 ocean names are the Pacific Ocean (Big), Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Arctic Ocean (Small) and the Southern Ocean.
  • The seven seas have been used to describe regions of the five oceans—the Arctic, North Atlantic, South Atlantic, North Pacific, South Pacific, Indian, and Southern Oceans.
