About 35,985 people from 84 nationalities, performed 21 yoga postures for 35 minutes at Rajpath in New Delhi. 

"Yoga for Harmony and Peace" was the theme of the first International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2015. India PM N. Modi initiated it. 

Celebrations take places worldwide.Yoga, which originated in ancient India, focuses on the body, mind, and spirit. 

The word “Humanity” is the theme for International Yoga Day in 2023

Yoga can help the healing process and help the person deal with symptoms with more centering and less stress.

Breathing and grounding help yoga practitioners connect with nature. Yogis can also embody by watching and emulating nature.
