With the help of various government initiatives, the Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan aims to close important gaps in social infrastructure, health, education, and livelihood. It also aims to ensure the holistic and sustainable development of tribal areas and communities by building on the knowledge gained from the PMJANMAN (Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan) program.
The tribal villages that are part of the Abhiyan will be mapped on the PM Gati Shakti Portal, with the department in charge identifying any gaps for the scheme’s particular requirements. The PM Gati Shakti portal will be used to track both financial and physical improvement, with awards given to the districts that perform the best.
