NOAA – National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. It is a government agency of the United States that concentrates on the state of the oceans and the atmosphere. NOAA’s objective is to comprehend and forecast environmental changes, as well as to preserve and oversee coastal and marine resources. The Environmental Science Services Administration (ESSA) was the most immediate predecessor of NOAA, formed in 1965 by incorporating several existing scientific agencies, including the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey, the Weather Bureau, and the uniformed Corps.
