Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was Indian significant evolutionary person . He was active in the anti-British independence movement. During World War II, he also led an Indian national force from afar against the Western forces.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was noted for his strong commitment to independence .He became a hero in India due to his rebellious patriotism. He was an illustrious Indian politician and a valiant independence fighter.

  • Born– Subhas Chandra Bose was born on 23th January 1897 in Cuttack, Odisha. Subhas Bose was born into a Bengali family in Orissa during the middle period of the British Raj.
  • Parents-His Mother’s name was Prabhavati Bose (Dutta) and Father’s name was Janakinath Bose.
  • Education-Subhas Chandra Bose Started his Schooling in the Baptist Mission’s Protestant European School in Cuttack in from 1902 to 1909, Ravenshaw Collegiate from 1909 to 1912, Presidency College, Calcutta from 1912-1916, Scottish Church College, Calcutta from 1917 to 1919.
  • Higher Studies– He studied B.A. in philosophy in the 2019 at University of Calcutta a and B.A. in mental and Moral Sciences at University of Cambridge.
  • Politics – After returning to India in 1921 Netaji Subash Bose first worked with C. R. Das in Bengal to join the nationalist movement led by Mahatma Gandhi and the Indian National Congress.
  • Spouse – Emilie Schenkl.
  • Children – Anita Bose
  • He was president of the Indian National Congress from 18th January 1938 to 29th April 1939 and was president of Forward Bloc of Indian National Congress from 22th June 1939 to 16th Jan 1941.
  • Indian National Army – He was also a leader of Indian National Army from 4th July 1943 to 18th August 1945.
  • Bose joined Mahatma Gandhi’s non-cooperation movement and work for Bengal politician Chitta Ranjan Das.
  • He organised the Indian National Army (Azad Hind Fauj).Bose declared a provisional independent Indian government.
  • Died – On 18th August 1945, Subhas Chandra Bose reportedly died in a Japanese hospital in Taipei City, Taipei, Taiwan
