National Safety Day / National Security Day-4th March 2022(Friday).

Today is National Security Day and National Safety Day across the country. Here we know about the details of National Safety Day The day is celebrated with gratitude to the various police forces, paramilitary forces, security personnel and military officers involved in the security of the country.

The National Security Council (NSSC) was set up by the Union Ministry of Labour on the 16th of this month to provide a national level of security, health and environmental protection. However, since 1972, its founding day has been celebrated as Security Day. The goal of the day is to raise awareness about the importance of safety in every aspect of life.

Additionally, from the 4th to the 10th of March, National Safety Week is commemorated by a week of safety programmes.

Last year’s theme was “Road Safety, Life Saving,” but this year’s theme is “Fostering a Young Mind, Developing a Culture of Safety.

The goal of this day’s events is to raise awareness and commitment to working safely. The National Safety Council declared the day off to improve public awareness of all safety principles and to increase public understanding of all safety guidelines, including road safety, workplace safety, human health safety, and environmental safety.

Different Programmes which are to be conducted on National Safety Day.
  • Training Programmes at various places regarding all safety principles.
  • Seminars and Workshops on all safety guidelines.
  • Public Awareness on Screening of Safety films in unit.
  • In Various Govt. Offices, PSU and other establishment. 
  • Practical demonstrations on use of PPEs, Fire Fighting, rescue etc at different places.
  • Organising emergency drills.
