Durga Puja is celebrated for 16 days starting from the holy Mulastami. Although three-day, five-day, seven-day pujas are practiced in Odisha and nowadays we generally perform seven-day Durga Puja in Odisha. But this sixteenth day puja is the oldest. This 16-day puja, a thousands of years old puja tradition, begins on the Mulashtami day itself. May Mother bless everyone on this holy day.
