How Brisk Walk is Good for Health
A brisk walk of about 4 to 5 km in the morning or evening is good. Walking 3 to 4 kilometers a day is enough for the elderly. Walkers can gradually increase their walking distance without aiming for a goal distance. Regular daily walking is good for physical and mental health.
Walking for 30-45 minutes a day improves blood circulation in the body. A 2023 study by researchers at the University of California found that taking at least 4,000 walks a day can have many health benefits. Walking more than 4,000 steps is even better for health. People between the ages of 6 and 17 should play or exercise for at least 60 minutes a day. Between the ages of 18 and 50, they should walk 12,000 steps per day.
