Guru Puja encompasses rituals, prayers, and hymns (Vandana and Stuti) that are devoted to the Guru (spiritual teacher). A well-known Guru Vandana is “Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu…”, which aligns the Guru with the divine trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The Guru Puja typically involves invoking the Guru’s grace, paying respects through various symbolic gestures, and reciting mantras to convey gratitude and request blessings.
