GDPDC: Geospatial Data Promotion and Development Committee. It serves as the highest national authority in India tasked with the development and execution of policies, strategies, and programs aimed at advancing the geospatial sector.

Its objective is to enhance the processes involved in the collection, generation, preparation, and distribution of geospatial data.

Established by the Government of India in accordance with the National Geospatial Policy (NGP) 2022, it operates under the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

It has taken over and integrated the responsibilities of the previous National Spatial Data Committee (NSDC). Role: It directs India’s geospatial evolution and emphasizes the importance of a data-centric approach to governance.
